Welcome

We are a community-based, not-for-private-profit enterprise based in Little Canfield, a small rural village near Stansted airport in Essex.

In addition to our monthly Sunday markets (3rd Sunday of the month) and Horticultural Project, Local Food (& More) Co-operative also runs The Green Café, a weekend watering-hole for local residents and users of the Flitch Way - a popular walking/cycling route adjacent to our venue.

We also host a weekend bike hire facility, free monthly led-bike rides, free monthly bike maintenance and gears and brakes courses - funded by Essex County Council. Click the 'events' tab for dates and look under 'Our Projects' for further details.

Another recent strand is our Monthly Cinema Screening with Dinner events for our members - again 'Our Projects' provides further details and dates are listed under the 'events' tab.

Our social aims are to provide training and work experience opportunities for young unemployed people - so your support will also be helping to provide wider benefits in our community.

We will only be successful with volunteers helping and shaping the project at every step.
